Gina is chair of the Special Education/Rehabilitation Department at East Stroudsburg University. She received her undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University, her Master of Education, Educational Diagnostician, and Doctorate from Lehigh University in addition to 2 advanced certifications. In addition to teaching at the undergraduate/graduate level at East Stroudsburg University, she works within the Partnership of Professional Development Schools. She has been appointed to the Special Education Advisory Panel by the Governor, as well as numerous state and federal appointed committees on monitoring, certification, and mental health professional guidelines. Gina has been appointed as Research Liaison to the Executive Committee of the International Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE). She has been selected to be a member of the Office of Dispute Resolution Stakeholder group. She is also involved in the Creating Agreement initiative at the state and federal level. She is the Regional Director for Pennsylvania Council for Exceptional Children. She continues to consult with many districts, provide in-service training, present at many local, state, and national conferences, and maintains membership in many state and national organizations. She is a recent recipient of an OSEP grant for training of Highly Qualified Secondary Special Education teachers as well as Project MAX meeting the complex instructional needs of students. Previously, she held a variety of positions at Centennial School/Lehigh University. She is a wife and mother of two daughters and two dogs!
