This high school program allows students to investigate the roles of biomedical professionals as they study the concepts of human medicine, physiology, genetics, microbiology, and public health. Working with the same tools used by professionals in hospitals and labs, students engage<br \/>\nin compelling, hands-on activities and work together to find solutions to problems. Along the way<br \/>\nstudents investigate a variety of careers in biomedical sciences.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paypal.com\/donate\/?hosted_button_id=X87U2WN7JAVKA\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-3750 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/thefoundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/12\/make-a-gift-blue-300x117.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"117\" srcset=\"https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/thefoundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/12\/make-a-gift-blue-300x117.jpg 300w, https:\/\/basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us\/thefoundation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/12\/make-a-gift-blue.jpg 515w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During the first year of implementation, schools are required to offer at least one of the foundation courses and ultimately implement all three foundation courses. The capstone course is optional.<\/p>\n<p>Project Lead the Way Biomedical Science courses complement traditional science courses and can serve as the foundation for STEM-centered or specialized academics.
