Asa Packer’s Student Council’s mission is to promote community service, school spirit, responsibility, and peer communication. Each homeroom, from grades 1 through grade 5, has two elected representatives.
Several community and school projects are planned throughout each school year. Student Council’s community service projects include being guest readers at Traditions, collecting food for the Second Harvest Food Bank, and sponsoring a mitten and hat drive in conjunction with the Winter Warmth Campaign.
Student Council sponsored Hat Day, 60’s Day, and Sports Day at Asa Packer. These days allowed all students to wear fun outfits to school. Other themes have included Football Day, Rainbow Colors, and Beach Day, just to name a few. Both students and teachers look forward to these days and always come in to school with smiles.
Student Council has been, and continues to be, a tangible way for Asa Packer students to both connect with the community outside the school and promote pride for our school community.
