Hello Marvine Elementary School community,
My name is Julissa Jimenez (he-MEN-ess), and I wanted to introduce myself as well as let you know how much I’m looking forward to a successful 2023-2024 school year at Marvine!
I proudly served as Assistant Principal to Donegan Elementary’s students, staff, families, and Bethlehem’s Southside community. I have served in the educational field for 23 years, most of those as an elementary teacher. During this time, I’ve worked alongside some of the best teachers, colleagues, staff, and supervisors, and I’m looking forward to working with Marvine’s phenomenal and dedicated staff, students, and families.
My husband and I have two adult children whom we are extremely proud of. My children grew up in my classroom, putting in so much of their time after school and over their summer breaks, helping me set up my classroom and carrying thousands of bags of school supplies over the years. They felt the same excitement I did as we started the new school year. Now, as parents of children of their own, they know the importance of family and the foundations of community support. Marvine’s students are like the students I had in my classroom every year, they have become my children, as well.
I am honored and proud to be Marvine’s principal and a part of the Marvine family. I welcome the Marvine community with open arms and an open heart. Alone we are strong, but we are a force when we work together – a school is only as successful as the community that helps support it.
