In accordance with PA Department of Education requirements, all foreign exchange students attending school in the Bethlehem Area School District are evaluated for English language proficiency. If a foreign exchange student is identified as an EL (English Learner), the student is then assigned to the instructional program that will best support her or his acquisition of English. The student will also take the WIDA Access 2.0 as well as the PSSA and Keystone exams as applicable.
