Fountain Hill Elementary School is one of 16 Elementary Schools in the Bethlehem Area School District. Perched on the “Hill” with amazing views of Bethlehem’s South Side and Steel Stacks, our school is rich with history. Our building was formerly Fountain Hill High School and was well known in the Valley for the success of their Basketball teams. Fountain Hill High closed in 1966, and the “Hillers” were sent to Liberty High School. Years later, after serving as offices for the BASD, we became Fountain Hill Elementary School. In 1999, our building was dedicated to John F. Spirk, a longtime area educator. We now are one of the BASD’s largest elementary schools in both building size and in student enrollment. We are proud to be a Community School with many amazing partnerships throughout the Lehigh Valley. We live by 4 words…LEARN. LEAD. IMAGINE. BECOME. Every day we encourage our students to be THE BEST THAT THEY CAN BE.
