- BMS Extracurricular Event Guidelines – This year, students attending any sporting events or extracurricular activities as a spectators inside the Broughal Middle School building, will be required to have a parent/guardian present with them for the duration of the event.
- If you engage in the following behavior, you may be restricted from attending extracurricular activities/sporting events for the remainder of the year, and school consequences can be imposed:
- Fighting or any kind of physical altercation
- Arguing or defiant behavior toward a BASD staff members
- Bringing unauthorized items into the event

Free English Classes at Nativity Cathedral!

This winter, give your child the joy of a bicycle and bike education! CAT volunteers are hard at work refurbishing youth bicycles, aiming to distribute 200 bikes in time for the December holidays. This opportunity is available to families experiencing financial hardship in Lehigh or Northampton Counties.

Broughal MS Rocket Holiday Shop – Community School Coordinator, Ms. Martinez
Thank you so much to everyone that has donated so far to our Rocket Holiday Shop!
We are still in need of donations for the return of the Rocket Holiday Shop, a special event where students can shop for holiday gifts for their families—completely free of charge! This wonderful tradition allows students to experience the joy of giving, and we need your help to make it a success.
We are seeking donations of gently used or new items that students can choose as gifts for their loved ones. Ideal items include:
- Household goods
- Toys and games
- Books
- Jewelry and accessories
- Holiday decorations
- Clothing and outerwear (hats, scarves, etc.)
- Any other gift-worthy items!
Your donations will help ensure that every student has the chance to find something special for their family members. Whether you have gently used items in good condition or new items to contribute, every donation is appreciated.
Please share this with your family and friends—every contribution counts, and it truly takes a village to spread holiday cheer!

- Donations can be dropped off at the Family Center by December 13th.

TEAM ESU: *Mrs Conkle/ELA: Students will analyze a poem by writing a TDA. They will continue reading a novel independently called A Long Walk to Water.
*Mrs. Harclerode/ESOL: Students will be comparing and contrasting two stories.
*Mr. Schomaker/SS: Students will be completing our city-state drawing and then will get ready for our test on Mesopotamia on Wednesday.
*Ms. Lando/Math: Students will finish Unit 3 with a potential test on Wednesday.
*Mr Lyons/Science: Students will be assessed on the fossilization processes before the holiday break.

Teams Lehigh and Lafayette will visit their 1st grade Reading Buddies next week with a gift of a book for every Buddy! Cops-n-Kids gave us 200 books to give to the 1st graders! A big “Thank You” goes to Officer Loscalzo for organizing and picking up the books!
