Attendance Reminder – Is your child missing school? Whether they’re home sick or heading to a doctor’s appointment, our school policy requires a parent or doctor’s note to excuse any absence. You can send the note in with your child when they return, or email it to broughalattendance@basdschools.org.  Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s success- we want all our Rockets with us every day!

Important Upcoming Dates
8/24 – First Day of School (6th Grade arrives at 8:05am; 3-hour delay for 7th & 8th Grade — 11:05am arrival)
8/28 – 1/2 Day of School for Students – 11:30am Dismissal
9/3 – Open House – 5:00pm – 7:00pm
9/7 – Schools Closed – Labor Day

Chromebook Insurance (Optional) – ISD is distributing new Chromebooks to Grades 4 and 8.  Please know you can purchase Chromebook insurance from Securranty at this link:  https://securranty.com/basdschools.

Visit Broughal’s Afterschool Program and Activities website for everything you need to know about clubs, permission slips, and how to get involved! Athletics

• 2026-2027 Physical Form
• Important information regarding Physicals for Broughal Athletics: The BASD is migrating away from Big Teams and moving to Arbiter Sports. All sports physicals will now be completed through Arbiter. For instructions on completing physicals, and to register with Arbiter, please use the following link. Arbiter Sports Registration.
