Cancer Crushers at Liberty High School, were presented with three awards yesterday at the conclusion of the Greater Saucon / Bethlehem Area Relay for Life event. This was the first time many of the people at the event had the chance to experience our team since it was the first year of the combined event. Liberty’s Cancer Crusher kids did a great job of showing the community just how amazing Liberty High School students can be! The awards received were:
- Bring the People Award: given to the team with the most participants and who helped “bring the people” to the Relay event.
- In Mark’s Shoes – Honorable Mention: an award given for a walking challenge that technically LHSCC was not even eligible for, but the event head said Liberty’s kids were her inspiration at 4:12am when they were still going strong.
- 2nd Place Decorated Theme Tent Site: given for decorating site in a patriotic theme.
