On Tuesday, May 23rd Liberty’s French Club and members of Mrs. McKernan’s French classes visited the Bethlehem Public Library to bring a touch of Paris for youngsters to enjoy.

The French Club read Madeline in both French and English, had coloring stations where young visitors could color the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. A Lego Effel Tower building competition was held; and the winners were presented with crowns. One of the students created a “Fun Facts about the Eiffel Tower” poster as well. The French Club president made Madelines, a delicious butter cookie, and the Library supplied French Lu cookies, too. The last station was build your own “fortune tellers/ French chatterbox,” these contained French and English greetings and salutations.
