Liberty High School held a ceremony Friday, September 10th at 9:30 to remember the tragedies that occurred 20 years ago on September 11th, 2001. The ceremony began with a flag raising ceremony by members of the Bethlehem Fire and Police Departments Honor Guards. Liberty’s bagpipes played Amazing Grace, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by Liberty’s choir.
Mr. Travis Wuchter introduced Mr. Joe Stellato, LHS Class of 1989 and current Physical Education Department Chair at Freedom High School. Stellato talked of his experiences at Ground Zero in the days following the attacks Stellato challenged Liberty’s students to learn something about the 9/11 Attacks so that the memory of these tragic events would not be forgotten.
