Home / News / Choir helps out the Bethlehem Emergency Shelter

Inspired by a piece of music “The Work of Christmas” sung at the Holiday Concert, the Liberty High School Choir decided to collect donations in return for hot chocolate or cookies that are going directly to the Bethlehem Emergency Shelter. The Liberty Cooking Club baked 1,200 cookies while Mr. Ross Makary donated and mixed 30 gallons of hot chocolate for the event to insure there would be enough for the large audiences. The student leaders determined there was a great need in our community and that we have a wonderful platform to raise awareness and money. A grand total of $900 was raised by our gracious community that we are proudly presenting to BES today.
