Juniors Anthony Thompson and Ivy Tharanoutis were acknowledged by Dr. Bailey on Friday for their essays that were published in the Sustainability Lehigh Valley: Youth Voices Issue Fall 2021.
Anthony and Ivy wrote the essays for a Town Hall essay assignment in Dr. Draper’s Academic Government and Economics class. Dr. Draper submitted select essays to the Alliance for a Sustainable Lehigh Valley. The Alliance chose their essays to be included in their Fall publication.
Anthony’s essay “Gentrify No More, Preserve History!” focused on the need to preserve historical buildings on the Southside of Bethlehem. Ivy’s essay “The Power of Inclusion” focused on the need for additional employment opportunities for individuals who are neurodivergent.
