On Friday, May 26th, Liberty High School honored the fallen men and women of the armed forces with a short wreath-laying ceremony in front of the school. After Military Service Recruiters raised the American and POW flags, the LHS Choir sang the National Anthem under the direction of Mrs. Wydrzynski. A lone Piper performed Amazing Grace and a member of the Liberty High School played Taps in memory of the fallen. Guidance counselor Andrew Uhler introduced Marine Cpl. Dan Lasko (Ret.) who spoke about the importance of of remembering those who had fallen in defense of Liberty. After a few words from Dr. Harrison Bailey, III, Liberty’s Principal, students were dismissed to return to classes.
