Welcome Mrs. Sarah Pastelyak to the Broughal Admin. Team!
I am excited to share that Mrs. Pastelyak will be temporarily filling in as Dean of Students at Broughal Middle School while Mrs. Cierech serves as acting principal of Calypso Elementary. Mrs. Pastelyak brings 18 years of experience in education, including several years as an Assistant Principal at Dieruff High School. Welcome to the Broughal family, Mrs. Pastelyak!

Attendance Reminder – Is your child missing school? Whether they’re home sick or heading to a doctor’s appointment, our school policy requires a parent or doctor’s note to excuse any absence. You can send the note in with your child when they return, or email it to broughalattendance@basdschools.org.  Regular school attendance is one of the most important factors in your child’s success- we want all our Rockets with us every day!

NEWSIES JR TICKETS ON SALE NOW!
The theatre department is thrilled to announce that ticket sales for the 2026 production of Newsies Jr! is now open! The students have been working so hard since October to bring you a truly incredible show. Please purchase your tickets at the links below to ensure you get the best seats in the house!

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Anais Martinez at amartinez@basdschools.org. We can’t wait to see what our students get involved in!

Join the FTO! 

Join the FTO! The FTO provides opportunities for families and staff to collaborate, share ideas, and work together on events and initiatives that enrich our school community. Whether through volunteering your time, offering input, or simply attending meetings, your participation makes a lasting difference. We believe that when families and educators work hand-in-hand, students benefit most. The Rocket FTO meets every first Tuesday of the month at 4:30pm in Broughal’s auditorium. Our next meeting is January 20th!
