LHS Broadcast Journalism class visits local PBS station Chanel 39.
Liberty Broadcasting students visited PBS Channel 39 on Friday, October 13th, to get an inside look at a live broadcast. The students met with Executive Producer Laura McHugh, and reporter/producers Brittany Garzillo and Grover Silcox and watched the inner workings of a the PBS 39 studio. Students were able to watch a live-to-tape studio recording of a PBS 39 Focus Special Report about Homelessness in the Lehigh Valley. Special guest Marc Rittle, Vice President, Impact for United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley, spoke about the homelessness problem in the Lehigh Valley.
