Important Senior Yearbook Information – Class of 2026

January 29, 2026

Hello Seniors, Parents, and Families,

Now that we have turned the calendar to the new semester, it is hard to believe that in just a few short months your child will be walking across the stage as a Liberty High School graduate. As the yearbook adviser for the past 30 years, I know the importance a yearbook can and will bring in your future. The yearbook is in fact about YOU!  We welcome your submissions to make this book the best it can be. The yearbook is about each of you and your personal stories, interests, experiences, hobbies, and ANYTHING you are willing to share. For us to accomplish this, we need your help. We encourage you to send us your photos and stories, or anything that we can use to supplement traditional coverage. We will try to include as many of your submissions as possible, but we unfortunately cannot promise they will all make the book.

Such examples include:

    • SPORTS — pictures from friends & family, quotes about experiences, players who will continue to play beyond high school (signing day pictures), friendships made, coaches perspectives, team bonding, house decorating for seniors, etc.
    • ACADEMICS & FIELD TRIPS — Were you on a cool school trip? Did you present a great project in class? Did you have a unique learning experience? Do you know the teacher who always takes pictures during creative lessons and science labs? We want those photos for our book. The more we have, the better.
    • HOBBIES & INTERESTS – have you started new hobbies, collections, skills; what are some unique things you are involved in both in and out of school or within the community? We want to hear from you!
    • HUMAN INTEREST STORIES – Do you have a story to tell? Did you overcome a challenge? Did you start something new? Did you experience something that changed your perspective? Did you help your community? We are looking for stories to feature this year, and we want your stories. These can be moments that mattered to you—big or small—inside or outside of school and around the community.
    • SCHOOL EVENTS, CLUBS, & ACTIVITIES — We cannot attend everything that goes on at Liberty or we only cover a few perspectives. Maybe you have some “behind the scenes” photos that we don’t have. Please share some photos from your experiences at school along with a description of the events or what was going on. The more we have, the more we can feature.
    • COLLEGE COMMITMENTS — Each year we take pictures of seniors holding a sign of where they have committed to college. This can be computer-generated or hand-drawn, or you can simply take a picture with your acceptance poster from your college choice. If you made your choice, send us your picture with your sign or college wear to be included in the yearbook.

NOTE: Seniors, PLEASE check your school email frequently as we will be sending out deadline reminders, requests for surveys, questions for the senior sections, superlative voting, and much more! Don’t miss out!

HOW DO I SUBMIT CONTENT TO THE YEARBOOK

There are 2 methods for submitting content to the yearbook. We greatly appreciate your submissions.

      1. Create a Google Drive folder with all of your photos and share it with Mrs. Gilliard (see email address below). Be sure to add a Google Doc if possible to explain who and what is going on in the photos.
      2. The other option is to email me directly at LGilliard@basdschools.org. If you are emailing me directly, please be sure to provide the following subject line for your email:  “Senior Yearbook Submission”; this should be placed in the subject line of your email so my messages can be organized quickly.

SENIOR PICTURES

The deadline for senior pictures to appear in the 2026 yearbook will be Friday, March 13th. All yearbook senior pictures must be taken by Christmas City Studio. If you have not made an appointment yet, please visit https://www.christmascitystudio.com/booknow to schedule your appointment ASAP!

You may select any session for your studio portraits. There is a $10.00 sitting fee that will be collected on your appointment day.

If you are unable to have your photo taken at the studio, a limited number of sessions will be available at Liberty on Tuesday, February 3rd and Thursday, March 5th for your yearbook pose and cap and gown ONLY (no outfit changes). To schedule your senior portrait appointment at the school, follow the steps below:

    1. Visit https://www.christmascitystudio.com/booknow and choose “GRADUATE SESSION”
    2. On the next screen, select “Libert High School” and “My School Campus”
    3. Finally, select your choice of date & time slot and complete your personal information.

The sitting fee for this appointment will be $5.00 and appointment are on a first-come basis held in room 001.

NOTE: Photo sessions with outfit changes MUST be done at the studio.

SENIOR SURVEY (For Yearbook and Senior Magazine by Liberty Life)

Email and Schoology messages will be sent out by Friday, February 6th to all seniors to complete a required senior survey. This will be used for information next to your picture in the senior section of the yearbook and in the senior magazine. Students will need to complete the survey while logged into their school email account ONLY. It is NOT available for parents to complete. The deadline to complete this survey will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026.  PLEASE NOTE: If you do NOT complete this survey, you will NOT be featured in the Senior Magazine and you will ONLY have your name and photo in the yearbook (provided you had your senior photo taken by Christmas City Studio).

YEARBOOK  & ACCESSORY ORDERING AND NEW SHIP BOOK TO HOME OPTION

With PAID class dues, seniors will receive a FREE YEARBOOK. You do NOT need to fill out any form to reserve your yearbook. Class advisors will provide me with a list of all those who have paid dues. PLEASE contact your class advisor to confirm you are in good standing to receive your yearbook. If you would like to purchase yearbook accessories such as metal name plates, dust jackets, or world yearbooks, these can be ordered through the order forms included and sent to school, or ordered online at https://www.yearbookordercenter.com/. (Please note that credit card fees may apply with online ordering) Again, be sure to use the school code 5241.

NEW THIS YEAR in our online ordering system is the ability to have your yearbook shipped home to you as soon as it is complete. Since some of our past graduates fail to return to school to pick up their yearbooks, we are now offering a SHIP TO HOME option in our online ordering system for only $10.00. Select this option using the link above, and complete the necessary information to have your book shipped home. NOTE: You must contact the yearbook company directly with any address changes prior to May 29, 2026. I cannot make these changes for you. Graduation frames and past yearbook sales are the only items you cannot order online. If you would like either of these, you can send your payment directly to the school or your child can drop them off in room 001.

FRIENDS & FAMILY AD PURCHASES

If you would like to celebrate your senior with a personal ad in the yearbook, these will continue to be sold until May 1, 2026. Please see the forms attached for further details. To help expedite this process, ads can be reserved through email (except for the payment). Please include your child’s name, the size of ad you are ordering, photos, and personal message so we may begin creating this for you. The payment and original forms can be mailed directly to the school as indicated on the form. My email is LGilliard@basdschools.org.

PLACING MULTIPLE ORDERS?

If you are placing multiple orders, you may submit one check for payment for all your orders and mail them all together. If you send your orders in with your senior, please be sure they give them directly to me in room 001. Please do not leave with any other teacher. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Gilliard.

Congratulations Seniors!  — Mrs. Lisa Gilliard, Yearbook Adviser
