Sunday Shout-Out – Week of March 19, 2017: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of March 19th. First off a big Shout Out to Martellucci’s Pizzeria as they are donating 15% of all of their sales from Monday, Wednesday and Thursday to Northeast and our Parent/Teacher Organization. Martellucci’s has always been a great partner of Northeast and the Bethlehem Area School District and this truly shows that continued commitment. This week we host our STEAM Night on Wednesday. This fun night of hands-on learning experiences in the sciences, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics will be held from 5:30pm -7:30pm. Come see the power of liquid nitrogen, build structures out of spaghetti and marshmallows, make origami creations and experiment with robotics, guitar frets, and programming computer games just to name a few. It is a FREE event for families and students. We hope to see you there!
After this past week’s weather we hopefully will be getting back on track in the classrooms and beyond with a full week of learning experiences. We only have two full weeks left before we start our state PSSA testing. With most of April devoted to that testing some of our teams are trying to get field trips in before the tests. Friday we have two of our teams out on field trips to expand their learning outside the walls of our school. Our 6th grade Team Power heads to the Sigal Museum in Easton and our 7th grade Team of Investigators bounce out to the SkyZone for an experience they cannot get here at school. We wish both teams good weather in order to get these trips in. Also Friday night our Jazz Band will play at the Nitschmann Jazz Festival, which begins at 7 p.m.
Have a great remainder to your Sunday.
