MRS. PARKER’S CLASSES: Mrs. Parker’s 4th and 9th period classes are to meet in the library…that is the 7th grade Integrated Arts class and the 6th grade Integrated Arts class. The 7th and 8th grade music classes are meeting in Mr. Huie’s room. Thank you for your flexibility.

AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPS: RehearsalsThe schedule for vocal groups is as follows:

*Monday, May 8th:  All after school vocal groups…Boys Group, Girls Group, and NE Singers – all, from 3:10-4:30

*Tuesday, May 9th:  NEMS Vocal Ensembles Concert at 7 PM.  After school groups, please report to NE, wearing white tops and black bottoms, at 6 PM.  The concert is free to the public.

*Wednesday, May 10th:  Mandatory trip meeting for students who are attending the Music in the Parks trip to Lake Compounce, Connecticut. Your parent must be with you for this meeting, which begins at 7 PM. Thank you for your time and talents…

DISMISSALAll students are to leave the school building upon dismissal at 3:05PM unless you are signed up and participating in an after school activity.  Students MAY NOT wait in school or on school property for friends or siblings that are attending an activity.  All students who participate in after school activities must also leave the building as soon as their activity is over. Students are not allowed to be in the building unsupervised.

YEARBOOK: Don’t miss out on the memories! Yearbooks are a great way to never forget that you’re #NortheastProud. Don’t wait too long, or they may be sold out. Order forms and money should be submitted to Miss V in room A101. 

HERSHEY COMPETITION: *Attention Cheerleaders, Dance Team, and Step Team.  Do not forget about the meeting in the cafeteria after school today to talk about the competition.  You will then have practice after the meeting.

STEP TEAMMandatory practice today until 5pm.  Any step team member who has not paid their money for the trip to Hershey by today will not go on the trip. Any student who has not returned their uniform to Ms. Bauder by today will not attend the trip. Please arrange any rides necessary. 

DANCE TEAMPractice today, Friday, May 5 after school.

JUNIOR POLICE ACADEMYOfficer Elias is accepting applications for the Junior Police Academy. The Academy runs from June 12th to June 23rd.  Cadets will get educated on the police department and different stages of the legal system. Selected cadets will get to go on field trips and receive presentations from various professionals within public service.  There will be daily physical training that the cadets are required to participate in. There is limited spacing and cadets will be selected based on Academic performance and behavior.  Applications are to be returned to Officer Elias before May 12th.

SPORTS*Congrats to our Varsity Squad yesterday! They were able to pull out a win against Nazareth Middle School with a final score of 5 to 4. In the first half, we had Anastasia Morae score a goal from a pass from Erik Galeas. Anthony Rodrigues was able to take a solo shot and score too. In the second half, the Hornets had Assists from Erik Galeas, Emma Harvey, and Ethan Ferrey. Our final three goals were from Mason Burger, Matthew Johnston, and Anastasia Morae! There record is 6 wins, 4 loses, and 1 Tie. Next week, they play against Bethlehem Catholic and East Hills! Go Green!

*Cheer tryouts will be held May 15th-May 18th from 3:05-5:00 in the main gym. Please come dressed appropriately in comfortable work out clothes. Bring your most recent report card as well.

*Attention Soccer Team, there will be practice today in the Main Gym until 4:30pm for both JV and Varsity team

DANCE: Get ready for the last 6th & 7th grade dance of the year Hornets!  The Northeast PTO will be sponsoring a dance this Friday, May 5th from 7-9pm.  The theme is Red, White, and Blue!  The incoming 6th grade class is also invited, let’s show them how amazing our school is and show your support!  We will have some great things happening!  The PTO will have Sand Crafters edible Pucker Powder Candy Art.  Come and create your own colorful sour straw!  Just $3.00 to make a 12 inch straw!  The PTO will also have a best dressed patriotic theme contest.  One boy and one girl each will win a gift card to Five Below!  The PTO will also have a great game called Body Poppers.  Try and bop your opponent off the mat to win a prize!  Don’t miss this dance! We will see you this Friday!!
