Week of May 21: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our “Northeast Sunday Shout Out” for the week of May 22nd, our last FULL week of this school year. As we said last week May is really the busiest month of our school year and this week is no exception. We start our week off with some of our 7th grade students going off to the courthouse for the County Law Day. After Monday we wish our 8th grade Algebra students the best as they embark on the Algebra 1 Keystone Exam. The exam is being given Tuesday and Wednesday. Also on Tuesday in the evening we hold our annual Sports Awards ceremony. The night starts with a dinner reception for the parents of our 8th grade athletes starting at 5:30 p.m. and ends with the awards ceremony in the auditorium at 6:30 p.m. for all 7th & 8th grade athletes.

Wednesday begins three days of camping for our 7th grade Explorers Team as the children travel to the Poconos and Camp Trexler for what has always been a great experience. Then on Thursday our 6th grade students have a day of outdoor activities as we hold our 6th grade field day. Finally on Friday we are P.R.O.U.D. to send our highest earning Proud Society students off to Dorney Park for a celebration of their hard work throughout the school year.

Lastly and importantly please note that our school calendar for the end of the school year has been changed.   The change is that all three of our last school days will be early dismissals. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a. m. June 5th, 6th and 7th. No lunches or breakfasts will be served on those days. This change in schedule will not affect our 8th grade moving up ceremony, which will be held Monday, June 5th at 7 p.m. in our auditorium. Thank you and have a great remainder to your Sunday.
