DROP OFF TABLEStudent Services has a drop off table.  If you are expecting something dropped off, please come to the Student Services drop off table for pick up.  Ms. Osorio will write you a hall pass or sign your pass.  If you are expecting money, please see Ms. Osorio. Money will not be left on the table.   

BOXTOPSWant to help our school raise money? Please bring in boxtops for education. Boxtops can be found on so many items! Simply cut them off and bring them to your homeroom teacher. Homeroom teachers can then send them to Mrs. Swavely or Mrs. Braido and student council will take care of the rest.

PROUD-A-THON: Attention all students! Remember to bring in donations for the proud-a-thon this Friday.

SAFE TO TELLIt’s SAFE to Tell.” The SAFE Team exists to help students with problems in a confidential manner to help remove any and all barriers to education.  You can refer your friends or yourself.  Just fill out the SAFE to Tell form which you can find in your homeroom, Student Services, the Library and the Main Office and drop the form in the SAFE Box or give it to your homeroom teacher who will deposit the form for you.  Don’t worry, “It’s Safe To Tell.

DISMISSALStudents please note that you are not permitted to remain in the building after dismissal unless you are involved in an activity. If you are waiting for a friend, please wait outside of the building.     

AFTER SCHOOL VOCAL GROUPSOur rehearsal schedule for theweek is the following:

*Wed, Sept 20th – no rehearsal

*Thurs, Sept 21st – no rehearsal – no school

*Fri, Sept 22nd – no rehearsal

NEPTO MEETING: Remind your parents to come to the Northeast Parent and Teacher Organization meeting tonight at 6PM in the cafeteria.  If your parent attends, you will get a Hornet 5!

NEPTO FUNDRAISER: The In The City coupon book fundraiser is coming to an end. Students, please remember to bring in your money by this coming Friday for the In The City coupon book that you took home for your parents to consider buying.  If they are not buying the book, you must bring the coupon book back to your homeroom teacher by Friday. 

DEBATE CLUBThe debate club will hold its first meeting Monday, September 25th in room A105. It is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who have a desire for their opinions to be heard. If you are interested in signing up, please see Mr. Gross or Miss Cedor for a permission form or just come on the 25th. Hope to see you there!”

SPORTSCross-country team, we have a meet at Freedom High School today, September 20th!  Don’t forget to let your parents know.

*Attention all football players.  Please turn in your Villa Vita fundraiser money or unsold tickets to Mr. Korcienski in room A107.  All tickets and money must be turned in today.  In addition, you can pick up your NE Football apparel order forms, they are due back Friday, September 29.  Any questions see Mr. Korcienski.

SUPERHERO RESEARCH CLUBSuperhero Research Club is back this year with high demand! Superhero research is only open to 7th and 8thgraders. The Club will be held on every Thursday for one hour after school. The first day will begin on Thursday September 28th! All permission forms are outside room A108. There are only 25 limited spots. First come first serve. Please have your permission slip completed and brought back to Mr. Spieker in room A108 before Wed September 27th. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Spieker in room A108.

CHESS & BOARD GAME PLAYERSStudents 6th Grade through 8th Grade are welcome to engage in novice chess playing to competitive mini tournaments with specialty chessboards and small life-size pieces as well as fun filled and challenging Board games that run from RISK to Monopoly!  Learn rules and mathematical coordination that builds on math concepts and sportsmanships. Chess Club Starts on Wednesdays Sept. 20th and Strategic Game Board Club starts in October 25th on Wednesdays! If you have any questions see Mr. Spieker room A108 and/or Miss Vanderstel room A101 on the 7th Grade Floor! Please stop by to pick up forms and permission slips!

WORLD LANGUAGE CLUBDo you love learning languages? Love learning about different cultures? You might want to join the WORLD LANGUAGE CLUB!! If you are interested in World Language club..permission slips are available outside of room B202 near the library. Space is limited- only the first 25 students to return the slip will be able to join! Talk to Frau Thomas, Madame Johnson, or Senorita Danner to learn more about the club! 

PICTURE DAY: SMILE!!  Picture day will be next Wednesday, September 27, 2017.  Please make sure to have your parents complete your order form or pre-order your picture packages online.  Extra forms are available in both the Main Office and Student Services. 

WORLD PERCUSSION ENSEMBLEAttention 8th graders: if you want to try out for World Percussion Ensemble, please see Mr. Huie ASAP.  He is looking for drummers.  If you’ve never played a drum, that’s okay, Mr. Huie is auditioning to find kids with good rhythm.  Also needs experienced piano, bass, guitar, band instrumentalists that can read music.  This is for 8th graders only!

DANCE TEAM: Attention all Northeast Students!  Dance Team try outs are to be held starting NEXT Wednesday! Attention Students, the Dance Team is having auditions NEXT Wednesday at 3:05 in the auditorium.  Students will need to learn a dance and freestyle. Auditions will go to about 4:30pm and continue onto the next week.  See Mr. Huie if you have any questions.
