Our annual Rally 4 Peace presentation at Northeast is during the week of Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday in January. This year, we will be working with the Basement Poets and performing at The Ice House in a show open to the public.

Our interest meeting will take place this Thursday, at 3:10 in room A300 (Mrs. Roehenbeck’s room).  We will provide you with more information and a permission slip. Weekly meetings will take place on Wednesday and Thursday of each week.  We hope to work with you and foster your creativity in the name of peace!

THOUGHT OF THE DAYSomeone wise once said: Teachers are the true heroes of the world.* The dictionary defines a hero as someone admired for his or her strength and courage. The word courage comes from the latin core, which means “the heart”.

Teachers teach because they care… because they believe they can make a positive contribution to your life so that you can grow up and make a positive contribution to the world. Teachers teach because they want to make a difference in your life.

Today, acknowledge your teachers for caring enough to teach. Give them a hug or a thank-you note or a few worlds of support.
