DANCE & WORLD PERCUSSIONDance team and world percussion ensemble, please don’t forget to have your parents fill out the permission form! It is due by Friday, October 20.

KNITTING CLUB: Students, are you prepared for the cooler temperatures?  Are you in need of a knitted scarf?  Well, if you are and would like to learn to knit your own to wear or donate to someone in need, then come to Miss Ayre’s Knitting Club.  It’s open to all grade levels and no prior experience needed.  Stop by room A208 to pick up a permission form.

DEBATE CLUB: The next debate club meeting will be October 24th in Miss Cedor’s room after school. Her room number is B303. If you have any questions, please see her.

SPORTS: Great job to the girls volleyball team for winning all four games against Easton yesterday! Everyone played very well with great serves and hits. Good job for ending the season on a high note! Congrats and keep up the good work for the BASD tournament on Monday, October 23rd!

* Any student who would like to try out for a winter sport must have a completed physical.  St. Lukes will be holding  Winter Physicals at Northeast Middle School’s Main Gymnasium on Thursday, October 26th from 5PM-7PM. Physicals will be free. Please make sure you have a physical form filled out prior to this date with all the information except what the physician needs to fill out. Physical forms are located in the main office at the front counter or see Mr. Korcienski.   If you played a fall sport you will not need a full physical but a re-evaluation form. You can pick either one up after school. See Mr. Carlstrom or Ms. Schaffrick if you have any questions about Boy’s or Girl’s basketball.

*8th Grade boy’s basketball open gym will take place on Wed., 10/18 in the main gym from 3:15 to 4:30. Next open gym times: 8th grade: Tuesday, 10/24 in the Auxiliary gym. 7th grade: Wed., 10/25 in the Main gym.

*6th, 7th and 8th grade boys and girls.  Interested in joining the Canes basketball club?  See coach Carlstrom in room D105 for information.

*Ready to play basketball ladies?!  Open gym will be every Wednesday until tryouts start. Please stop by Coach Schaffrick’s office to pick up the intramural form. It is the only way you can participate.  No exceptions!!! 

FALL SPORTS & SCHOOL SPIRIT! It’s that time of the year when we bring a close to our Fall Sports. We start with this Thursday, 10/19/17 with our field hockey team playing at Liberty’s Stadium at 5:30, Monday, 10/23/17 volleyball will play at Freedom High School at 5:30and we end with our night football game at Liberty High School on Wednesday 10/25/17 at 5:30.  To show our school spirit we will follow this schedule for the week of October 23, 2017.

  • Monday (10/23) – Favorite Sports Team Jersey or Shirt
  • Tuesday (10/24) – Pajama Day
  • Wednesday (10/25) – Green and White Day

STRATEGIC GAME BOARD CLUB: Strategic Game Board Club starts on October 25th on Wednesdays! If you have any questions see Mr. Spieker room A108 and/or Miss Vanderstel room A101 on the 7th Grade Floor! Please stop by to pick up forms and permission slips!

GERMANY TRIP: Do you want to visit Germany? Prague? A concentration camp? Herr Schaefer and Ms. Bartkus at East Hills are organizing a trip to Germany and Beyond for June 2018. Berlin, Prague, and Auschwitz are just some of the trip’s highlights. There will be an informational meeting held in East Hills Room #222 on Monday, October 23rd at 7:00p.m. Please come and find out about scholarship opportunities, a reasonable monthly payment plan, fundraisers, and more.
