Home / Daily Announcements / Sunday Shout-Out for the Week of February 17, 2019

Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for this week starting with President’s Day. This past week was not very friendly to us weather wise, but it should be noted that the Superintendent decided that the one make -up day we will exhaust will not come until the Thursday of our Spring Break. Thus students and families should plan to have school on Thursday, April 18th.

Noting last week, we thank all of the students and parents that took time to come out last Thursday for our Student Led Conferences. These are important to have especially for our students that must continue to hold themselves to high standards of performance. For those parents still wishing to have a more traditional conference talking directly to teachers, please remember that you may call your child’s team leader at any time to schedule a conference. Just be reminded that those conferences must occur during the day, as that is when there is time in the teacher schedule for these types of meetings to occur.

We start out this week in school by celebrating our second quarter honor roll students with a skating trip to SkateAway on Tuesday. Also Tuesday we host the postponed semi-final city-wide boys’ basketball tournament in our gym beginning at 5:00 p.m. The girls’ tournament is at Nitschmann. On Wednesday the finals for both the boys and girls will be at Nitschmann beginning at 6:00 p.m. Also on Wednesday our Northeast Parent/Teacher Organization will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria with the Band Parent Organization meeting following in the band room at 7 p.m. On Wednesday we need everyone’s support to vote for 8th grade’s “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing” video featuring Just Born Candy. The link for voting is on the Northeast website. Voting starts on Wednesday, February 20th and goes until Friday the 22nd. You can vote as many times as you would like. Thank you for your help!
