Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of October 20th. First, we wish to thank all of the parents, guardians and others that were able to come in to school this past week to spend some time with us during our district’s celebration of American Education. Please know that we welcome you here at school anytime, not just during American Education Week. We only ask that you make the arrangements to visit through our offices versus coming in unannounced. We look at Northeast as “OUR” school collectively, and the more comfortable we are working together the better off our students will be in school.
Again this week we have a tremendous amount of “Fall” happenings particularly with our band students. Our band and color guard have two events over this coming weekend just as they had this weekend. Many of you are probably just returning from the parade in Hellertown which followed yesterday’s parade in Nazareth. Next weekend will be much the same when on Saturday we will be joining our three sister middle schools at the Liberty/Freedom football game. On Sunday our band marches in the Bethlehem Halloween Parade, thus another full weekend for our band students.
Our wonderful Northeast Parent and Teacher Organization (NEPTO) is holding a Northeast Eats Out Night at Street Eatz at 216 East Broad Street from 3PM – 9PM on Wednesday. A portion of your purchase will be donated to NEPTO.
The Hurricane Invitational Cross-Country meet that had been scheduled for last Wednesday was moved to tomorrow due to the heavy rains last week.It starts at 4PM at Monocacy off of Illick’s Mill Road. We wish our Northeast runners the best and swift feet as they conclude their cross-country season.
This week in school we have a few celebrations when on Thursday we celebrate students chosen by our teams during our monthly Hornet Lunch. Then on Friday Team Grit heads out to SkyZone for their monthly team rewards event. We hope they have a great jump!!
