Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for this week that starts November on Friday. This week in school we have a number of student activities planned for some of our children. We have our sixth grade seminar students participating in an archeological dig on Wednesday at the Freemansburg Canal Park. Also, on Wednesday we have a contingent of 8th grade students attending the Pennsylvania Latino Convention as well as our Team Purpose heading out on a field trip to the Teddy Roosevelt Park in Easton. On Thursday we mark the start of the 2nd quarter as well as having our Team Innovate head out for their annual Fall field trip. To end the week Friday, we have our Fall Harvest Dance for our students. Our dance is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and all students enter our school by the cafeteria.   Students love to wear their Halloween Dress for this dance, but please note that no students will be permitted to wear masks over their face or dress in costumes of a violent or overly gruesome nature. If you have questions of appropriateness of your child’s dress, please do not hesitate to call and ask our office staff. Also note that students are not permitted to leave early from the dance without parent notification. This is for their safety.

With this week officially ending the first quarter and beginning the second quarter, please be prepared to receive communication from your child’s team of teachers regarding the scheduling of our first quarter Student Led Conferences. The dates for these conferences are Monday, November 18th and Tuesday, November 19th. Monday’s conferences will be in the afternoon from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Tuesday’s conferences will be in the evening from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. On both days students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. As we prepare for our Student Led Conferences please continue to check on your child’s progress through our Student Access Center. Again, if you need assistance please call the main office at 610-868-8581 and ask for Mrs. Rodriquez. As we have stated on numerous occasions, please access your child’s grades and progress daily in Schoology on our Home Access Center in order to keep updated and informed of your child’s progress. Don’t wait until now when the quarter is almost complete or complete. Finally, please note that on Tuesday of this week, October 29th, we will be dismissing children at 11:30 a.m. for teacher in-service.
