Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the first full week of October. This week we see our first quarter Interim Progress Reports getting mailed out on Friday. It has been quite an adjustment for all of us, so let us use the information to help us plan on what we need to do to be as successful as possible in this very trying time for everyone. Should you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s homeroom teacher, team leader or guidance counselor.
Many of our before and after school activities and clubs are now getting up and running and communication is key. If your child is involved in one of our “extra-curricular” activities, please communicate with one another the particulars of the activity and ways and means of pick up or drop off here at school. With so much happening it is important that parents know the details of what the children are doing and how they are getting to and from the activity they are involved in. Communication is vital to keeping everything running smoothly and safely. Should you have particular questions regarding our activities and clubs, please feel free to contact Mrs. Bush here at school extension 42902.
Our first athletic games of the fall season begin this week. Our cross-country team has a meet on Monday at Freedom High School starting at 4PM. Our girls’ volleyball and field hockey teams play on Tuesday and Friday. This week both our teams start out their respective seasons at East Hills on Tuesday. The teams then turn around and host games here at Northeast against East Hills on Friday. All games are at 4:00 p.m. Our football team opens up inter-district play this week against East Hills on Thursday at home. This game is also slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. No fans are permitted to be on the fields and are asked to social distance up on the sidewalk. This also holds true for field hockey as well. Tickets for a family member to attend the volleyball games will be distributed by the volleyball coaches to the players, as attendance is limited. No other fans will be permitted. Social distancing will be required, and everyone must wear a mask covering their nose and mouth.
Finally, a reminder from our Parent Association regarding their fundraiser. The mum orders must be turned in by no later than Wednesday, October 7th.

Buenas tardes Familia y Amigos de Noreste. Esta semana vemos que nuestros Informes de Progreso del primer trimestre se envían por correo el viernes. Ha sido todo un ajuste para todos nosotros, así que usemos la información para ayudarnos a planificar lo que debemos hacer para tener el mayor éxito posible en este momento tan difícil para todos. Nuestros primeros juegos atléticos de la temporada de otoño comienzan esta semana. Nuestro equipo de correr a campo tiene un encuentro el lunes en Freedom High School a partir de las 4PM. Nuestros equipos femeninos de voleibol y field hockey juegan el martes y viernes. Esta semana nuestros dos equipos comienzan sus respectivas temporadas en East Hills el martes. Luego, los equipos se dan la vuelta y organizan juegos aquí en Northeast contra East Hills el viernes. Todos los juegos son a las 4:00 p.m. Nuestro equipo de fútbol abre el juego entre distritos esta semana contra East Hills el jueves en casa. No se permitirán otros fanáticos. Se requerirá el distanciamiento social y todos deben usar una máscara que cubra la nariz y la boca.
Finalmente, un recordatorio de nuestra Asociación de Padres sobre su recaudación de fondos. Los pedidos de flores deben entregarse lo más tardar el miércoles 7 de octubre.
