SCHOOL SPIRIT WEEK: Next week is our final week of Fall Sports and to end out the season we will celebrate with a School Spirit Week before the big night game against Broughal Middle School. If you participate in 2 of the 4 days you will receive a ticket for free admission into the game. Those that want to attend and don’t participate the cost is $3.00 to attend. Show your spirit by coming in wear the following:
Monday – Pajama Day, Tuesday – Sports Team Jersey Day, Wednesday – Mis-Match Day, Thursday – Green and White Day
On Thursday we will hold a Pep Rally to celebrate those student athletes’ accomplishments for the season and prepare our football team for its final game of the season. The game will start at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021. Hope to see all of you there!
ACTIVITIES
- 8th GRADE HOMEWORK CLUB: If you are in 8th grade and need help with your assignments, consider coming to Homework Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Mrs. Papagni’s room in B305. Please look at your mid-quarter grades because there is plenty of time to work on raising averages before the quarter ends. If you would like a quiet place to work, assistance with confusing assignments, study for a test, and even get a snack, please come to Homework Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room B305.
- MUSICAL: Who is interested in this year’s musical Sister Act Jr.? There will be an informational meeting next Tuesday, October 19th in the auditorium. You can get the audition materials at that time, as well as learn the dance. Auditions will be held October 25th and 26th in the auditorium. See Mrs. Parker with any questions. Hope to see you there to “raise your voice”!
ATHLETICS
- BOYS BASKETBALL: Attention 7th and 8th grade boys. There will be a boys basketball open gym on Friday, 10/22 from 3:15-4:15pm in the main gym. You must have sneakers and shorts to play. See coach Carlstrom in D106 if you have any questions.
- WRESTLING: Hey all Northeast students! There will be a meeting for any interested grade 6, 7, & 8 students for the Northeast intramural wrestling program. No wrestling experience necessary. The meeting will be on Wednesday, October 20, at 3:10pm in the Cafeteria. If you have any questions, see Mr. Henning or Mr. Katynski.
