School counselors can provide short-term mental health counseling, but also connect students to long-term school-based our community-based mental health counseling services. School counselors provide individual counseling and restorative circles to mediate issues between friends and other peers. In some schools, school counselors also run groups and provide class lessons on a variety of topics. School counselors can teach coping skills to students with anxiety. School counselors provide behavioral support. School counselors can help with problem-solving and decision-making skills. Have you thanked your school counselor today?
