Sunday Shout-Out – Week of January 15, 2017: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for our week of January 16th. First may I remind everyone that we are off from school tomorrow, the 15th, in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday. In observance of this day may we be reminded of the bigotry and racism still running rampant in our great nation and may we think of how we can all come together in unity to fight discrimination and hatred. We are trying to do our part here at Northeast as we observe our “Week of Peace”. Each day this week we will look to make a statement against hatred and bigotry as well as against the violence that affects our lives each and every day. Hopefully our children will see a day when our world lives in peace and harmony with one another, because thus far as a society we have not done what we have had to in order to achieve that Dream!
On to other school news: This Wednesday marks the end of the 2nd quarter for this school year. As we look ahead we know we have a lot of content to cover in the next few months. It seems crazy that this school year is half over. As we have noted throughout, please, please stay on top of your child’s school progress. The tools are in place to do so and thus there can be no excuse for any of us not to be informed. Again should you need assistance in order to access your child’s grades please call Mrs. Rincon at 610-868-8581. Also this week we have our monthly Parent Association Meeting in the cafeteria on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. followed by our monthly Band Parent meeting at 7:00. Hope to see you there.
In athletics this week both our boys and girls basketball teams each have two games. On Wednesday our students play Springhouse. Our girls are at home and our boys play there. On Thursday our girls are home against Easton while our boys go on the road to face the Rovers. We wish our athletes the best in these and all the games they play. Have a great remainder to your weekend and a nice day in observance of the Martin Luther King holiday.
