Week of February 4, 2018: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for this first full week of February. It is hard to believe that we are now in the 2nd semester of our school year and that our quarterly report card will be distributed to students tomorrow, Monday, February 5th.  Mark your calendars, as our Student Led Conferences for the 2nd quarter will be held the evening of February 15th. The scheduled time is 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Just a reminder for eighth grade parents that our eighth grade students will focus on the academic direction they are intending to take at Liberty High School.

Activities are always plentiful for our school and this week is no exception. Select Northeast band members will be participating in the All City Middle School Band Concert on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at Nitschmann Middle School. On Thursday there will be FREE sports physicals provided for any students wishing to participate in a spring sport. These physicals are occurring at Liberty High School beginning at 5 p.m. Also at Liberty our Officer Elias and his fellow Resource Officers will be holding their annual Valentine Formal on Friday in their auxiliary gym. The dance begins at 7:00 p.m. and tickets must be purchased ahead of time.

On the hardwood this week both our boys and girls each have two games scheduled. Our boys are at home against Springhouse on Monday and then at East Hills on Tuesday. Our girls are away against Springhouse on Monday and home against our crosstown rival East Hills on Tuesday. Mark your calendars for the following Monday and Tuesday, as our boys and girls will be playing in our first ever “Bethlehem” Playoffs. The boys play at Nitschmann on Monday and our girls play Tuesday. The “Championships” are at Freedom High School on Wednesday.   Have a great remainder to your Sunday and may the Eagles bring home a win from the Super Bowl!
