Week of February 11. 2018:  Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of February 11th. Though our students have a short week in school we have a lot of activities stuffed into those few days. We start with tomorrow night and our Boys’ basketball team playing against our crosstown rival Broughal in the first round of the City Championship Tournament. The Girls’ first round playoff game is against East Hills on Tuesday. Both games will be played at Nitschmann and both games are scheduled to start at 7 p.m. The city championship for both the boys and the girls will be played at Freedom High School on Wednesday. Due to our cancelation of school this past Wednesday and our 2 hour delay on Thursday we have moved our 8th grade course selection to Tuesday, the 13th. Also, besides celebrating our student athletes’ last games of the season, we will also be honoring our 2nd quarter honor roll students this week with an afternoon of rollerskating. Those students who obtained honor roll or high honor roll are invited to an afternoon of skating at Skateaway on Wednesday afternoon. It is always an honor to take our finest students out.

Again we remind everyone that this week is a short week for our students. Our students have a ½ day of school on Thursday with dismissal at 11:30 and then our children are off on FridayThursday is a ½ day because in the evening we have our Student Led Conferences scheduled. Our conferences are held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. If you have failed to sign up for a conference please contact your child’s Team Leader in order to secure a time. On Friday schools are closed for Teacher In-service.  Have a great remainder to your weekend.
