Week of April 1, 2018: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for this week following our Spring break. We do hope that everyone has been enjoying this beautiful break from school and that time has been shared with family and friends. As a reminder, students have one more day to enjoy, to sleep in and to rest before returning to school on Tuesday.

We have another short week prior to us having to do PSSA testing. Believe it or not this coming week ends the 3rd quarter of this school year. It is amazing how quickly this year is going, and before we know it we will be breaking for the summer. This week we have Mr. Bailey visiting his 2022 Liberty class as they prepare to take the next journey into high school. His visit will be on Thursday. Our musical hornets will be busy as we host our first PMEA Band and Orchestra Festival Wednesday evening.  This festival brings together the very best musicians from throughout the Valley for an evening of outstanding music. Also this week our Explorers’ team plans one last day outside the classroom before the PSSA’s with a visit to our local bowling alley on Tuesday.

We should finally get busy out in the fields with our spring sports. Our softball team is scheduled to play twice this week. On Wednesday the girls host Nazareth and on Friday our girls travel to our crosstown rivals, East Hills. In soccer we also have two games. On Wednesday our soccer athletes play at home against East Hills and then our team closes the week away at Bethlehem Catholic.

We hope everyone continues to enjoy the remainder of this Spring Break, and we look forward to having the children back on Tuesday.
