Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for this week ending April and beginning May! This past week has been a grueling week while trying to prepare for the end of our state testing. Tomorrow and Tuesday we have the Math portion of the PSSAs. Fortunately the Math PSSA test lasts only two days versus the three days of the Reading/ELA. On Wednesday and Thursday our 8th grade students will need to finish up the testing with the 8th grade Science portion of the PSSA. We thank all of our students and our families for taking these tests seriously and for doing their best.

As for the remainder of the week we have many activities packed into Thursday and Friday. On Thursday we will celebrate the accomplishments of our 6th and 7th graders during the PSSA’s with a small celebration in the afternoon. The 8th graders will then follow with their own celebration on Friday. Now if that is not enough, we will also be hosting our End of Year 6th and 7th grade dance on Friday night. The dance is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and our parents also invite our incoming 5th graders as well. Finally in school we host Music in the Parks on Saturday. May the weather treat them to a beautiful day.

In sports this week both our soccer and softball teams are scheduled to play twice. Soccer plays at Broughal on Monday and at Nazareth on Thursday. Our girls’ softball team plays at Easton on Tuesday and at home on Thursday versus Lower Macungie. We hope everyone has a pleasant remainder to your Sunday.
