Home / Daily Announcements / Sunday Shout-Out for the Week of September 22, 2019

Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of September 22nd. First, we would like to thank you to all who were able to support our school by “eating out” last week at Martellucci’s. It was a great success because of you. Thank you as always to our parent organization and all they do for our children. Speaking of eating we encourage our children to take advantage of our breakfast program. Students are welcome to come to the cafeteria before 8:05 a.m. to have the most important meal of the day.

Please remember to return the “In the City” coupon booklets from the NEPTO fundraiser if you wish not to purchase one. The money for the coupon book or the book is to be returned to your child’s homeroom teacher by no later than this Thursday, September 26th

Other happenings this week have us holding our first half day for teacher training, known as an Act 80 day, tomorrow, Monday the 23rd. Students will be released from school at 11:30 a.m. and lunch will not be served. On Thursday we have our Picture Day for all of our students and staff, which is always nice when we see our children dressed in their best for this day.

Our fall sports schedule is packed again for this week. Our Volleyball team plays twice this week. They face Raub at home on Tuesday and are away against Saucon Valley on Friday.   Cross Country is also away at Lower Macungie on Thursday. Our Football team plays on Saturday here at home against Allen. The game starts at 9:00 a.m. We hope to see as many fans as possible out supporting our athletes.

We end our week on Friday with our first dance. Dances at Northeast are sponsored and run by our wonderful parent organization and are held in our cafeteria. The dances are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Chaperones are always welcome, but must check in prior to the dance. Once children enter the dance they may not leave the dance until it ends for safety reasons.  Should you have any questions or concerns, please call our main office. Thank you, and have a great remainder to your weekend!
