Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of April 12th. It saddens me to inform you that Governor Wolf has announced that all Pennsylvania schools will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. However, we will continue providing online education per Tier 5 guidelines and sending weekly Shout-Out’s. Information will be sent in the future regarding how we will be handling locker clean-out’s, field trip reimbursements, uniform turn-in, etc. Please be patient as we try to work out plans that keep us safe and healthy when working through the details.
This week begins our third week of Tier 5 assignments being sent to children electronically through Schoology. Please remind our students to be checking their email and logging into Schoology to check messages each and every day. Last week’s assignments are due to be completed by tomorrow at noon. Please be reminded that the assignments provided to the students are not intended to substitute for the instruction they are missing by not being in school. On our school’s website and on the district website there is a link for parents in order to help you understand and know the resources and assignments being given to your children. Please click on the link titled Remote Learning Resources for Families in the top right hand corner of our homepage. It is important that our children complete the assignments to the best of their ability in order to pass the 4th quarter. Every subject gives our students a week to complete their assignments, and it is important that our students are handing work back in on a weekly basis.
Report cards for the third quarter will be mailed on Tuesday of this week; however report cards are also able to be retrieved in our Student Access Center online. We will not be mailing home Honor Roll Certificates or other awards at this time. Lastly please be reminded that Northeast serves as a food distribution center for our children on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Please know that multiple breakfast and lunch items are provided in order to provide for the entire week.
