ENCORE CLASSES: Today is the first day of Rotation 4 – Please check your schedules!

PROUD SOCIETY: Our next PROUD Society event will be some time in the first two weeks of February. Exchange your hornet fives for proud pounds, keep an eye out for those Marking Period 2 report card proud pounds and ask your homeroom teacher where to find the Proud Society application. Fill it out as soon as possible in order to be eligible for our next event and receive your free Proud Society T-shirt.

SPRING SPORTS: Attention! Attention! All 7th and 8th Grade students who plan to participate in Softball or Soccer this Spring! You will need to get a physical or revaluation form filled out and turned into our Athletic Trainer. Those who need a physical – St. Lukes is offering free physicals at Liberty and Freedom. Please use the SignUp Genius Link in your Schoology Message to sign up. Liberty will hold the physicals on Wednesday, Feburary 16 in their upstairs Aux Gym. Freedom will hold their  physicals on Tuesday, February 22, in their Aux Gym as well. Times for both dates are from 5:00-8:00 pm. There will be no walk-ins accepted! So please use the link in Schoology to sign up. Physical packets and revaluation forms can be picked up in the Main Office or Student Services. Any questions please see Mr. Korcienski in A107 or send him a message in Schoology.

STOMP SHOWNext Friday, February 4, is the Stomp Show! Come and see step teams and dance teams from other schools! Tickets are $5. You can buy tickets starting next  week.

ACTIVITIES

  • BAND & ORCHESTRA: Attention all musician students, please remember at the end of the day to pick your instrument up from the band room to take home and practice.
  • CHESS CLUB: Chess club meets this week on Thursday after school in A103.
  • DANCE & STEP TEAMS: We have practice today after school and Wednesday after school. Let’s get ready for the stomp show next week!
  • HOMEWORK CLUBS: If you are in 7th or 8th grade and need help with your assignments, join Homework Clubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays! 8th grade meets in Mrs. Papagni’s room in B305 and 7th graders meet in Ms. Rinaldi’s room A112. You get a snack and milk, too!
  • READING OLYMPICS: Reading Olympics meets today during hornet block.
  • SISTER ACT, JR: Thank you to our cast and crew who attended rehearsal on Saturday! This  week will be an all cast vocal rehearsal on Tuesday, January 25th from 3:15-4:30 in the chorus room. Wednesday’s rehearsal will be from  3:15-5:00. We will be rehearsing  Scene 12. This rehearsal is for Mother  Superior, Deloris, Mary Patrick, Mary  Robert, Mary Lazarus, Mary Martin of-Tours, Mary Celeste, Mary Irene,  Mary Stephen, Mary Theresa, Nuns 1- 3, Tina, Nina, Michelle, Elle, Nun Group  A, and Newscaster. Saturday, January 29th’s rehearsal  will be as follows: 9-10 AM is for Scene 13, pages 108- 116. This is for Mother Superior,  Deloris, Mary Patrick, Mary Robert,  Mary Lazarus, Mary Martin-of-Tours,  Mary Celeste, Mary Irene, Mary  Stephen, Mary Theresa, Nuns 1-3, TJ,  Curtis, Joey, Pablo, Curtis’ Boys, and  Eddie. 10-noon is for ALL CAST. Thank YOU for your Northeast time and talent! Please have your scripts with you for these rehearsals. If you have any questions or concerns, please see or email Mrs. Parker immediately. No STRESS…we’ve got this!
  • SISTER ACT, JR – T-SHIRT DESDIGN: Cast and crew members – the deadline for submitting your t-shirt design for the musical Sister Act Jr. is on Wednesday, January 26th. Please share your creative talents with us. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Parker. You also need to submit your biographies for our playbill  program for February’s show.
  • STUDENT LEADERSHIPStudent Leadership meets today in the Library during Hornet Block. See you then!
  • ZOMBIE CLUB: Zombie Club members, in order to participate in the pizza party in the end, please hand in your $3 to either Mrs. Papagni, Miss Rinaldi, or Mr. Spieker anytime. In addition, your Research Disease must be completed too.
