The Maker Movement is evolving at a fast and furious pace requiring technology integration. Empowering and inspiring students to create, not just consume, is an important concept for Future Ready librarians when creating a Makerspace. Grant funding will be utilized to install Makerspace into the libraries at Freemansburg Elementary School and Calypso Elementary School. The implementation of Makerspaces allows students to use everyday objects to make and create stories, games, mazes, and machines connecting the curriculum to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).
