Liberty won TWO awards at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival High School Shakespeare Competition held at DeSales University on March 7, 2026!
The following students competed, thrice performing their monologues or partner scenes in front of adjudicators.
- Erika Broesicke (12) and Andrew Bays (12) — As You Like It Act III, Scene ii (Rosalind/Orlando)
- Owen Smith (10) and Ella Sherman (11) — Hamlet Act III, Scene ii (Hamlet/Ophelia)
- Jansarie Colon-Vicens (12) — Much Ado About Nothing Act IV, Scene i (Beatice)
- Emma Hartzell (11) — Twelfth Night Act II, Scene ii (Viola)
Erika, Andrew, and Jansarie were invited to perform their scenes at the closing showcase.
Erika and Andrew won an award for Excellence in Shakespeare Performance Duo/Trio, and Liberty High School took home an Excellence in Shakespeare Performance Team Award!
