Covid-19 Vaccines – All LHS Students 16 or older: Covid-19 vaccines will be available for students 16 or older at LHS and FHS on May 10th (dose 1) and June 1st (dose 2). Parents must be present with their student and may also receive the vaccine. Receiving this vaccine is a critical step towards us returning to
a more normal school environment next year.
Apparel Sale The Class of 2024 is once again selling Liberty Apparel. Get ’em while you can! You want a cool T-shirt? A hot hoodie? Or a trendy crew? Students can find the order form link on fliers in the hallways. Payments are due no later than Friday, May 14th and can be dropped off to Mrs. Mouchref in room 315 or Mr. Somerville in 332. Shirts are featured in cardinal red with navy lettering and the historic Liberty emblem. 100% of profits benefit school functions for the class of 2024.
Prom – 2021 Senior Class Prom will be held on Friday, May 14 from 6:00-8:30 at SteelStacks. The cost per ticket will be $30 and can be paid by cash or money order. Senior class dues must be paid in full in order to purchase a prom ticket. Tickets will be sold April 28-30 and May 4-7 from 2:30-3:00 pm outside Office 615 next to the Aux gym. Students must bring a copy of their student ID, and if buying for a BASD student guest, a copy of the guest’s student ID when purchasing tickets.
Reminder from the Nurse’s Office – Spring is here! If you take allergy medicine, start taking it NOW and take it EVERY DAY, even if you have no symptoms.
PJAS – Do you like doing your own experiments? Consider participating in PJAS for next year! Not sure what PJAS is? Come to the informational meetings 5/3 for students with last names A-L and 5/4 for students with last names M-Z. You can learn what is involved in participating in this science competition. For our e-learners at home, please reach out to Dr. Draper if you are interested and she will send you the zoom link for this meeting. The meetings will be held from 2:30-3:00 p.m. in 830 KCC. See Dr. Draper for any further questions.
Psychology Club – Thursday, 4/29 from 2:30-5:00 p.m. in 830 KCC. The focus will be on Robin Williams and his struggles with depression. If interested, see Dr. Draper in 830 KCC. E-learning students and students with last names M-Z can get the zoom link for this meeting from Dr. Draper.
Girls Soccer – Attention all female athletes: if anyone is interested in playing for the Liberty Girls Soccer team, please see Coach Uhler in SSC 400 to get information. Spring lifting and voluntary workouts have begun, so don’t miss out on this opportunity!
Clubs & Organizations
Student Government – Any Student grade 9-11 interested in serving as a class officer or a senator needs to fill out and submit the Google Form for Student Government Nominations. Interested students must be willing to commit to attending weekly virtual meetings and be available for special events and activities. There are minimum academic expectations for interested candidates.
- Forms must be completed, submitted, and received no later than May 7th at 2:45 PM.

Recycling & Sustainability Community Service Project – The Recycling & Sustainability Community Project meets after school every Tuesday – Thursday in Room 507 from 2:30-3:30pm. Complete your community service and make a difference!
ATTENTION STUDENTS INTERESTED IN ATTENDING A US MILITARY SERVICE ACADEMY On Saturday, May 15, Congresswoman Susan Wild will be hosting an event via Zoom during which the application and nomination process for the five US military service academies will be reviewed. Underclassmen who are curious about the military service academies such as West Point and the Naval Academy are welcome to participate. Representatives from all five US military service academies will be on hand to present as part of the zoom program, and the Congresswoman herself will also be part of the program. Contact your counselor for more information and the zoom link.
