Academic Team Updates

Team Lafayette (6th) (Twitter @NMSLafayette Team Leader Mrs. Hackman) On Friday we held our January Reward/Work Day. Many got to participate in Cup Stacking and Minute to Win It games. Others spent the time working on missing assignments from the 3rd quarter so that they don’t fall behind.  We are hoping February’s Reward Day will include additional students! It would be great to have everyone participate.

Team Lehigh (6th) (Twitter @NMSTeamLehigh Team Leader Mrs. Oliver)  With report cards being mailed home this past week hopefully you have had a chance to discuss them with your child. We were working on Learning and Behavioral Goals during Lead class over the past week. We encourage you to have a discussion about these goals and a plan to achieve them as well.  It is often nice for the students to have an accountability partner to check in with as they make progress to achieving their goal. Please check in with them from time to time to see how it is going. Pencils still seem to be an issue in our classes. We made sure everyone had a pencil case this past week and gave some out to students who did not have one. Please be sure they have several pencils to put inside. As always please log on to Schoology Pearson, and Study Sync frequently with your child to monitor your his/her progress. The middle of the marking period will be here sooner than you think!
