School-wide Announcements

Dr. Roy’s Weekly Message: The BASD eNews June 4, 2021, edition is available to view at BASD eNews from Dr. Roy.

BASD COVID Vaccine Drive: BASD is partnering with St. Luke’s University Health Network to provide a COVID-19 Vaccine Mobile Clinic on Thursday, June 9th from 4pm – 7pm at the Bethlehem Ice Rink. The Pfizer vaccine will be offered to anyone 12 and older and is free of charge. Please use the sign-up link below to register for a COVID vaccine appointment. Please allow up to 2 business days for these appointments to be scheduled into the St. Luke’s system.

St Luke’s Vaccination Clinic 6/9/21

A Minor Acknowledgement Consent Form must be filled out for every child under the age of 18.  Students who are 16 and 17 can receive the vaccine without an adult present as long as they bring the signed form (must be printed out and signed – no electronic submissions).  Anyone <16 will need the printed form signed by the parent/guardian and must be accompanied by an adult. Anyone <18 year old should bring a school or photograph ID.

The Pfizer vaccine is a two-dose vaccine.  The 2nd inoculation will occur at the Bethlehem Ice Rink on Thursday, June 30th from 4pm – 7pm.

NOTE:  If a parent is registering a child, the parent should enter the child’s name and demographics, not the parent’s name and demographics. Please complete a sign-up for each child, if you are registering more than one child.

NOTE:  If you’ve already had the first dose somewhere else, you can’t use this clinic and you need to return to your original site for your second dose.

8th Grade Transition Activities This Week! (Mayes) We have planned our end-of-the-year activities for our 8th grade students to help celebrate their transition to high school. Due to shifting requirements over the past few weeks, we have simplified the end-of-the-year activities when we planned them in April.

We have designated the last day of school (Thursday, June 10 for A-L and Friday, June 11 for M-Z) for our end-of-the-year activities. These days are set for 11:30am dismissal for all students. Dress is casual for these days – we are embracing our inner beach wear this week with Hawaiian shirts & shorts!

1) We will begin the day with a condensed Moving-Up Ceremony at the start of the day, then move into activities for the remainder of the morning. The ceremony will be for students only, but we are planning to live stream for families to watch. e-Classroom students should report at 8:15am on the correct day to their scheduled homeroom.

2) Instead of an evening 8th grade dance, we will have dancing, outdoor activities, & food following the Moving Up Ceremony. We are encouraging all students to dress up in their best luau clothes to enjoy our team activities and stations.

3) All students will be dismissed at 11:30am.
