Spring Baseball (Lehigh Little League) Signups are now starting for Lehigh Little League. Please go to www.lehighsportsassociation.org for registration information!

National Geographic Bee – (Mr. Hess) – Wednesday’s school final of the National Geographic Bee was epic!  To start, we had SEVEN returning finalists, which is FAR more than anytime in the past 10 years.  We also had an 8th grade student, Ethan Hawkes, who was competing for the third year in a row, which also hasn’t happening in the past decade. The Bee went longer than usual and that is a testimony to the quality of students and their geographic knowledge.  It took 11 rounds to narrow it down to 2 students needed for the champion round. Those 2 students were Robert Matthews and Rowan Walters. The championship round then went to 2 tiebreaker questions after the initial best out 3 and it wasn’t because they were getting questions wrong…they were getting them correct!  Robert finished 2nd with 12 out 16 correct through the entire competition and 3 out 5 in the championship. Rowan successfully defended his champion with a total of 13 out 15 correct and 4 out of 5 in the champion!! Next, Rowan will take an exam to see if he qualifies for the state competition on March 27. If you see him, congratulate him and ask him a geography question (look up something obscure because he knows a ton!).

Do you know a student who loves to sing? Our Glee Club family is now accepting new members for the spring! Anyone is welcome to join. The only requirement is a commitment to rehearsals as follows: 7:15 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Instrumental students are excused to go to their rehearsals, joining us on alternate mornings. All choral groups rehearse during day 1 activity periods.
