Reading Olympics: Club members gather every other Thursday (beginning October 1) in A300, from 3:05-4:05. During that time, students update a database of books they have read, participate in discussions, and write question/answer sets for a book they have read. Students choose from books from the Reading Olympics list (the NE Summer Reading list) and all books are available in our Northeast Library. We use Google Hang-out with other BASD middle schools to practice answering questions about the books, in preparation for the Spring Reading Challenge, May 4, 2017. Held at Easton High School, the Spring Reading Challenge brings together over 400 students from the Lehigh Valley and beyond to compete in a game show atmosphere using questions about the books from the book list.
