The purpose of this project is to further develop and expand the Makerspace that already exists in Thomas Jefferson’s library, so that students can continue to engage in hands-one learning by participating in STEM-related activities. With the expansion of the Thomas Jefferson’s Makerspace, students will practice their programming, developing, building, and coding skills. In addition, students will also build their problem solving and critical thinking skills. Ms. Zarelli plans on adding an after-school component to the Leaders of Tomorrow Club allowing students more time in the Makerspace. In addition to the after-school club, there will be a parent involvement night to collaborate in the Makerspace with their students.
