NJHS is helping Ms. Thomas hold a Field of Flags for Veteran’s Day on November 11th. Each flag will represent one veteran – and our unwavering commitment to serving all veterans after they’ve sacrificed so much for our country. All donations raise critical funds to support DAV’s life-changing services for veterans in need and their families.
We will be having a competition for homerooms, and whichever homeroom raises the most money will win an ice cream social sponsored by NJHS. Members of NJHS will be around each Monday to pick up donations. If each person donates just a dollar or two, we will be able to fill the front lawn with flags on November 11th. Look for the coffee can in your homeroom to make your donation!
Also, we would like to recognize our Hometown Heroes who served in any branch of the armed services. You can send a picture via email to Dr. McDonald @tmcdonald@basdschools.org or bring in a picture and we will make a copy of it to appear on the bulletin board in the main entryway. Please include the person’s name and branch of the armed services in which they are serving or served.
