Home / Principal

Dear Freedom Family,

It is hard to believe, but I am embarking on my fourth year as Principal of Freedom High School.  While the summer is a wonderful opportunity to rest and rejuvenate, the halls are quiet and the classrooms are empty.  This makes me look forward to a new year filled with academic successes, athletic contests, and extracurricular activities.

You will also see quite a few updates to the school and the surrounding grounds.  While not glamorous, a new boiler system was installed which will help regulate temperatures in the building.  The turf field was completely redone and the old locker rooms will be freshly updated and painted.  In addition, forty additional cameras were installed throughout the school.  Throughout the 2024-2025 school year, you will see stands and a press box added to the turf field along with a full renovation of the current auditorium.

We will be welcoming about 10 new staff members to our Freedom Family along with 450 incoming 9th graders.

I am ready to see you in the halls and classrooms of Freedom, performing in concerts, playing in sporting events, supporting your classmates, and invigorating our school community.

Best wishes for a healthy and successful school year.

Ms. Laurie Sage
