- Sunday Shout-Out – Week of October 23, 2016: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for our last full week of October. This week in school we have a number of student trips planned for some of our children. First we have our sixth grade seminar students participating an archeological dig on Wednesday at the Freemansburg Canal Park. On Friday we have two teams going out to celebrate their teams and season with Team Active going to Theodore Roosevelt Park in Easton and Team Explorers going up to Mazezilla for the day. On Thursday we have a special day for our entire 8th grade class when we are privileged to have the Shakespeare Willpower Tour 2016 perform Hamlet. This is an all day workshop ending with a full production of the play. A great experience our 8th graders are blessed to be given. Also our school will host the Pennsylvania Philharmonic Orchestra on Tuesday for all 4th graders throughout the district. As the host school our Northeast Orchestra students will be given an opportunity to enjoy the performance as well. This is one of the perks for hosting these types of district wide events for our community of schools. This week ends with our city celebrating Halloween on Friday night so we ask that everyone be extra careful traveling about trick or treating.
Finally this week our band and color guard are going to have a very busy weekend as they will be part of the Liberty/Freedom clash on the football field on Saturday and then they will turn around and march in our Bethlehem Halloween Parade on Sunday. We wish them all the best as they show us why we are so Northeast P.R.O.U.D.! Our own Football team has its second to last game of the season this week going away for a night game at Saucon Valley on Thursday. We wish them the best as they go under the lights for the first time this season. This concludes our weekly Northeast Shout-Out. Have a great remainder to your weekend!
