Sunday Shout-Out – Week of October 30, 2016: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for our week starting off the month of November.  First we need to note how P.R.O.U.D. we are of all our students that represented Northeast during the annual playing of the Liberty/Freedom football game and then those students that just finished participating in the Bethlehem Halloween Parade.  Community involvement and excitement is very special here in Bethlehem and we are always proud to do our part to support our city. Where else can a city once only known for its steel manufacturing end up being recognized as the number one place in the Northeast to retire!

As for this week we officially end the first quarter and begin the second quarter with respect to our grading. Our first quarter ends on Tuesday November 1st with our second quarter beginning on Wednesday. Please be prepared to receive communication from your child’s team of teachers regarding the scheduling of our first quarter Student Led Conferences.  The dates for these conferences are Monday, November 21st and Tuesday, November 22nd. Monday’s conferences will be held between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday’s conferences will be in the afternoon. On both days students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m. As we have stated on numerous occasions, please access your child’s grades and progress daily on the Home Access Center in order to keep updated and informed. Don’t wait till now when the quarter is almost over or complete to check your child’s progress. If you need assistance, please call the main office at 610-868-8581 and ask for Mrs. Rincon.

We end our Fall Sports Season this week with our two final football games. Monday our team heads to Saucon Valley to play the game that had to be rescheduled from this past week. The battle begins at 5 p.m. We conclude with a night game at B.A.S.D. Stadium on Thursday against our crosstown rivals, Broughal. We are home this year, and thus we will get to experience our full Band, Color Guard and Cheerleading Squads in action as we enjoy the game. We wish them the best as we end our season. This concludes our weekly Northeast Shout Out. Have a great remainder to your weekend!
