Sunday Shout-Out – Week of February 12, 2017: Good afternoon Northeast Family and Friends. Here is our Northeast “Shout Out” for the week of February 12th. Hopefully the end of this past week will fill our desire for snow and we will make it through the rest of this month without any more cancellations or school delays. Not that we all don’t appreciate a beautiful snowfall, but it is just difficult to get back on track after a sudden disruption in our school schedule. Due to our cancellation of school on Thursday and our 2-hour delay on Friday, we have moved our 8th grade course selection to tomorrow, Monday the 13th. Also tomorrow night our Boys and Girls’ basketball teams end their seasons with games against our crosstown rivals, Nitschmann.   Both games will be played at Liberty with the girls’ game scheduled to start at 6 p.m. followed immediately by the boys.

We remind everyone that this week is a short week for our students as our students have a ½ day of school on Thursday with dismissal at 11:30 and then our children are off on Friday. Thursday is a ½ day because in the evening we have our Student Led Conferences. Our conferences are held from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. If you have failed to sign up for a conference, please contact your child’s Team Leader in order to secure a time. On Friday schools are closed for Teacher In-service.

We also want to remind everyone that our Northeast Parent Teacher Organization will be meeting on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and this meeting is followed up with our Band Parent Meeting at 7:00. We hope to see as many of you as possible there on Wednesday. Finally we end our week with our second annual District-wide Semi Formal Dance at Liberty High. This dance is sponsored by our district’s Resource Officers and is open to students at all four of our middle schools. Last year’s event was a great success and we hope the same for this year. Have a great remainder to your weekend.
